Manager – EHS (O&M Safety Lead)

13 to 18 years (Renewable Energy O&M safety experience mandatory)
Qualification:
BE / BTech in Engineering (Mandatory)
(ADIS / NEBOSH / IOSH preferred)
Job Purpose:
To lead and strengthen EHS governance for PAN-India Renewable Energy O&M sites, supporting the Head – Safety through strong MIS, analytics, site engagement, and mature stakeholder communication, while driving a consistent safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
PAN-India O&M Safety Governance
Lead EHS oversight for all O&M solar and wind sites across India.
Ensure consistent implementation of O&M safety standards, systems, and SOPs across sites.
Act as the central SPOC for O&M safety governance from HO.
MIS, Analytics & Reporting
Develop and manage EHS MIS dashboards for O&M operations.
Analyze safety data, incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and trends.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Head – Safety and senior management.
Site Engagement & Audits
Plan and conduct periodic O&M site safety audits and reviews.
Track non-conformities and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
Support sites in improving safety performance and compliance maturity.
Incident Management & Analysis
Support investigation of major incidents, high-potential near misses, and recurring safety issues.
Lead root cause analysis and drive preventive actions at a portfolio level.
Ensure quality reporting and learning dissemination across sites.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
Engage confidently with site teams, senior leaders, OEMs, and contractors.
Handle tough conversations related to safety non-compliance with maturity and authority.
Support safety communication, campaigns, and leadership interactions.
Corporate & Governance Support
Support internal and external audits, certifications, and compliance reviews.
Assist in strengthening EHS frameworks, policies, and digital systems.
Work closely with Legal, HR, O&M, and Projects teams on safety matters.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of O&M safety in Solar & Wind renewables.
Excellent MIS, analytics, and reporting capability.
Mature communication style with ability to influence without authority.
Strong corporate exposure and comfort working with senior leadership.
Ability to balance HO governance with practical site realities.
Mandatory Requirements:
13–18 years of experience in Renewable Energy EHS (O&M focus).
Prior experience in a corporate / HO safety role.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel across India for site reviews.
Preferred Experience:
Candidates based in Mumbai or willing to relocate.
Experience working with large IPP renewable portfolios.
Exposure to digital safety tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms.
